Most everything on the menu comes in a large and a small - and this was the "small" chicken fried steak ! Love to stop at local diners when I'm on a road trip. It was almost closing time at the Honey Hole when we stopped but we were made to feel quite welcome by a very attentive server. The menu had a huge variety of food to choose from. My grandson got the Cowboy Chicken sandwich and it was basically a complete meal on a bun, including bacon and onion rings. I stole a couple of his fries and they were great. The salad bar was stocked with a good variety of fresh ingredients and the big pot of free BBQ beans could have been a meal on their own. I ordered the "small " chicken fried steak and it was everything I expected though not sure why they call it small ! It was a fantastic meal, my only negative might have been the mashed potatoes. The gravy was super tasty but the potato was more like a baked potato that had been smashed than actual mashed potatoes. Overall, a great place, with good service and good food.
Nice place to eat. Quiet and peaceful. Daily specials clean establishment. Welcome upon entering. Wonderful service with a smile. Food was good fries soggy, but the steak fingers melt in your mouth. The hamburgers aren't bad either. The complimentary beans have a slight kick. This is a place you have to try for yourself.
A hidden gem! The cheeseburger was delicious, the fries were crispy and perfectly seasoned! The best part was Ashlyn, our waitress! She was so adorable. Very happy, bubbly, and so welcoming. The best waitress I have had in my 62 years. Go check out this wonderful restaurant!
Fantastic. Love the space and the servers are friendly and quick. And the food is delicious. What more can you ask for?
I had the catfish and shrimp and it didn’t have much of a taste. We also ordered the chicken fried chicken which was really good. The gravy had a lot of pepper just how I like it. The mash was chunky and had a good taste. Burger was equally taste. Think my plate was the only one that’s lacked flavor. The free beans were pretty good also
